Recap: BTD24 Speed Puzzling Competition

At Big Techday 24, our speaker and world-class speed puzzler Chiara Dellantonio was in action twice. After her talk "How I Ended Up Being So Puzzled", in which she outlined her journey from puzzling as a childhood hobby to professional jigsaw puzzling competitions, Chiara also took part in our BTD24 Speed Puzzling Competition.

There, she competed solo against 21 participating teams of two to see who could solve our 500-piece BTD24 puzzle the fastest. After 57:26 minutes, Chiara emerged as the winner, only around 3 minutes ahead of the runner-up team and 11 minutes ahead of the third-placed pair. Nevertheless, every team that managed to solve our difficult puzzle was celebrated by the numerous spectators – in the end, a good half of the competitors were able to finish within the set time of two hours.
